United Nations Day Celebrations

United Nations Day is one of the special event that each school celebrates every year.J. l.Suarez Elem. School also celebrates the event. We a parade of costume of the different countries that composes the UN Organization.

 Teachers are the living hero.In may ways,the teacher plays a vital role in the development of every child he/he is always dealing with.Their patience cannot be measured by a specific measuring tools. And today October 5, JLSES joins the WORLD TEACHERS' DAY celebration. We were surprised by the presentation of each grade level and the simple yet very memorable presence that they have for us.The happiness it brought us  made us forget all their kakukitan and being pasaway of some.

TEACHER'S during the DISTRICT MEET 

 September 25 , 2010 was the chosen date of Victorias District II to held the annual District Meet,wherein the 10 schools that  composes the district compete  in athletics and literary musical field.In this way, children was also given the chance to show their talent on their chosen field.

Teacher's During the GSIS UMID Card Activation

This was the scene during the Teacher's Actication Schedule of their newly issued GSIS UMID card.Everyone who was scheduled that day woke up early just to get the lower number in the list.GOSH!Imagine we are already in front of the GSIS buliding at around 4AM. At around 5:30 the security guard issued to us a priority number for the said transaction.We're glad we belong to the first 100,(not bad) as we wait for out turn we were shocked because a huge  number of teacher was already in line.Take note,they dont have the priority number.We asked the guard about it,,,guess what he told us.(Linya lang kamu da mam,wala na ni number number)in English.You just form your line mam,number is not needed.WOW!what a mess!Our question is, what's the use of the priority number that they have issued to us?We is their word of honor? Most of all where is their system? It is very unfair isn't it? We spend time to get the priority number but then sad to say it does'nt make sense.

Pupils with the guidance of the their teacher maintain the cleanliness of the school by collecting the garbages from the Material Recovery Program  (MRF).They segregate the plastic paper and dried leaves.

Induction of PTA Officers

We are electing new sets of PTA officer every opening of the school and every two years we are selecting our General PTA officials.Barangay officials of Brgy. VIII served as our officiating officials.

GSIS UMID

Its really an irritating day today!We are in the GSIS office at around 10:00 am although our schedule is at 1:00 in the afternoon believing that if we arrive early we could on time of our schedule.But what awaits us was a very crowded room full of teachers waiting their names to be called.There was no system of operation. Only 2 persons was there to entertain the hundreds teachers who came from different cities of Negros Occidental...sigh.....It was almost 2:30 when they say that the server was busy and that they cannot access the data...Gosh!We're almost there for almost how many hour already.Even those who are scheduled in the morning were not able to finish the process yet...What a sad fact!

TEACHERS UNWIND

Teachers are also humans.We also need time to rest and unwing.This picture was takenduring the PANAAD FESTIVAL in Bacolod City. This the booth of Cadiz City.All cities and municipalities in Negros Occidental have their own unique concept of booth construction.

DISTRICT MEETING

District Meeting is one of the most important meetingin the district . It is usually conducted during the opening and closing of classes.Today's year end's district meeting was made to give recognition for the acheivement of the teachers, principals, pupils and the district as a whole.The supervisor also discuss some important Dep Ed mattes.

CHECKING FORM

Checking of forms after the school year ends is a must.All school document must be parallel with each other to assure that there will be no problem on the pupils school record.

PREPARATION OF GRADUATION

Graduation day is one of the most memorable moment for pupils nad for teacher as well.It is the time when we can say....AT LAST I MADE IT!Congratulation  to bath 2009-2010!

TRAVEL OF TEACHER

Our school is almost 7kms. away from the city.The road is very rocky and dusty during sunny days but very wet and muddy during rsiny days.For almost 2 weeks now due to the La Nina the road is very dusty that you can almost say that there is sand storm once a vehicle passes by.The teachers are suffering from running nose and headache due to this situation.To protect our selves we need to wear jackets and bandanas just to keep us from dust.

MOCK NAT

As a preparation for the coming NAtional Achievement Test (NAT) on March 3,2010 we are conduting as mock NAT to prepare the pupils in taking the test.This will enable them to experience what are the things that will happen during the test.Another teacher is assign to give the test to the Grade 3 pupils.

MORNING LIFE OF TEACHER'S

Our school is sorrounded by sugarcane.When it is milling time,we are enjoying the direct heat of morning sun as the day begin.When i arrive in school the refreshing smell of fresh air and the very inspiring light coming from the sun gives me the inspiration and the courage to live life.Teachers are also human,,,we also to recharge our energy to make our selves ready for the new challenges that comes along everyday. This part of our musical garden was made through the helping hands of all the teachers.Its just a sample of the many beautiful and refreshing area that you can see in our school.Watch out for my next feature...

DIVISION ACHIEVEMENT TEST

Our school was chosen to be the representative of our District in the up coming Division Achievement Test on Feb.18-19. As a preparation we are conducting review classes after lunch time and after the regular schedule of classes in the afternoon.
Reviewing of lesson is a must because it will help in refreshing the mind of the pupils about the past lessons.

TEACHER'S LESSON

After giving the 1st summative test for the fourth rating period I used the remaining time in reviewing the past lesson as a preparation for the coming Division Acheivement Test.The review was all about words that show location.

BEING A TEACHER

To be a public elementary school teacher doesn't only mean teaching with in the four corners of the room and teaching only the 3 Rs.In school we do other task such as being a help to the pupils in doing in outside assignment. Serving as a model to them on how to do other task properly. To be a good model for short .We supervise at the same we do the job by our self. Far from what other expects an elementary school teacher is more just a teacher, we are capable of doing things behind ball pen, lesson plans and writing on the chalkboard.

ADVOCACY

We are sharing every knowledge and ideas that we have to our co teachers. Not only to the schools in our district but in other cities and municipalities as well.In the picture is our principal conducting the seminar with the faculty member of E.B. Magalona.

RECYCLED PRODUCTS

We can find garbage every. Don't we know that out of this garbage we can make something new?In our school, we practice proper segregation of this garbage. Such as having three garbage can with three different colors. Blue for papers, green for dried leaves and weeds and black for plastics. We also make good use of empty glass and mineral bottles.

TREE PLANTING

As part of our mission, J.L. Suarez Elem. School adopted an area which is located at Brgy. XIII,Victorias City. We aim to maintain and to preserve out natural resources by replanting trees. This is in cooperation with the barangay officials and the community as well.

PRESERVING CORAL REEFS

One of the most popular palce in our environment are the sea side.Where in most of the family spend their time during weekends. But sad to say we were not able to maintian its beauty and cleanliness.The teaching staff as one of their mission spend time in cleaning and preserving the seashore at Victorias City.

OUTREACH ACTIVITIES

Being a teacher doesn't only mean serving the community with in the four corner of the classroom.Teachers are versatile individual,serving not only the pupils but also helping in the preservation of our natural resources and keeping the environment a good place to live in.

TEACHER

In teaching you cannot see the fruit of a day's work. It is invisible and remains so, maybe for twenty years. Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions.A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.Teaching is leaving a vestige of one self in the development of another. And surely the student is a bank where you can deposit your most precious treasures. Teaching is the only major occupation of man for which we have not yet developed tools that make an average person capable of competence and performance. In teaching we rely on the "naturals," the ones who somehow know how to teach.
